Michael Q. Parker

Michael is founder and president of Communitey.

Before making the transition from consumer packaged goods marketing to media, he was brand architect for a diverse array of products ranging from Yoplait Yogurt to the Regina Steemer.

Michael held several senior positions in both old and new media divisions of Cox Enterprises. In addition to being a founding director and vp/marketing, he also served as vp/Internet Strategy and Solutions for the diversified media company.

Michael holds undergraduate, Master of Public Administration and Master of Business Administration degrees from Atlanta University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Michael has enjoyed active leadership roles volunteering with several mission-oriented enterprises ranging from the arts to health services. Some of his involvements include; The Alliance Theatre, Metro Atlanta Red Cross, MUST Ministries, National Black Arts Festival, BSF, International, Jr. Achievement and several other community and faith-based organizations.

Mark R. McCallum

Mark is Vice President of Content for Communitey.

He joined Communitey after nearly 20 years experience in writing, reporting and production for commercial media, both newspaper and internet.

He spent nine years as a sportswriter for The Aiken (SC) Standard and The (Columbia, SC) State before leaping online in 1995. As part of a small team, he helped convert the stats-based Fastball.com into a heavily-visited community. Yahoo! rewarded the effort, naming it the best baseball website three consecutive years. Mark transferred within the company to help integrate and maintain national sports content for Cox Interactive Media, a network of 20 websites and later Cox News Service. He also maintained health, recreation and weather packages. He has helped edit websites for Ken Burns' The War and WETA's CARRIER!.

He holds a master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Georgia and a bachelor’s in English from Presbyterian College. He still plays shortstop in the Men’s Senior Baseball League, is a National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum Patron and World War II Memorial Society charter member. His first novel is expected to be published this summer. As a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, he is involved in their outreach program.

Mark S. Klein

Mark is Vice President of Marketing for Communitey.

Mark’s experiences blend marketing and sales leadership experiences at a major media company, with account management perspectives from leading advertising agencies serving Fortune 1000 company brands. His business insights reflect a wide array of industries, consumer segments, and contact channels.

During his career at Cox Newspapers’ Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Mark held several key leadership roles including Director of Business Development, Sales and Marketing Director for Circulation, and Director of Marketing. His national advertising agency experiences included work for Procter&Gamble, Dow Chemical, Pepsico, Flowers Foods, and SouthTrust Bank (acquired by Wachovia). Mark’s career includes several new product launch successes, which netted a pair of “EFFIE” awards from the American Marketing Association, and the Advertising Age/NAA Marketer of the Year award.

Mark has a B.S. degree from the Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University, and a Masters degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. He’s been involved in several industry non-profit organizations, appeared as a guest lecturer at Georgia State University and various industry conferences, is an active church volunteer, and coaches youth sports teams.

Jax Zachariah

Prior to being part of Communitey, Jax Zachariah founded Cyspan Inc, a technology services organization which he guided from a start up to a $47 million company in four years. He has also been in different technology management positions with Cox, WorkSpeed and AT&T prior to that.

His educational background includes two master’s degrees in Technology and an MBA.

Sarah Alongi

Sarah is an honors student at the University of Georgia and is a rising junior majoring in marketing and public relations. She is currently serving her second year as co-director of AIDS Walk/Run Athens, a student-run nonprofit organization that supports HIV and AIDS initiatives in Northeast Georgia. Sarah is also the Vice President of VolunteerUGA, the umbrella organization for all service groups at UGA. Sarah hopes to pursue a career in the nonprofit sector upon graduation.

Sarah traveled to Tanzania in May 2008 and was one of fifty Phi Kappa Phi Study Abroad Grant Recipients. In addition, she was awarded the Honors International Scholarship from the Honors Program at UGA. Sarah is a Charter Scholar, Robert C. Byrd Scholar and a member of the Leonard Leadership Scholarship Program at UGA. In her free time, Sarah volunteers with The Bigger Vision of Athens.

Sarah has worked for Jewelry Artisans in Dunwoody, Georgia, and as a marketing intern for Global Anesthesia, Inc. in Athens, Georgia, since being in college.

Andrew S. Dietz

Andrew Dietz is founder and President of Creative Growth Group, Inc., a consulting and information services firm.

The firm provides professional service organizations with marketing and client development strategies, training/coaching of client development skills and implementation of rainmaking initiatives. He and his team advise clients from an array of professional service disciplines from law and accounting to public relations and strategy consulting.

Prior to launching Creative Growth Group, Dietz was a consultant with Egon Zehnder International, a leading global executive search and human capital advisory firm where he assessed, selected and advised senior executives and Board members for some of the world's most successful companies. In that role, Dietz also published a national recognized study entitled, Talent Management in Turbulent Times - which highlighted the value of executive coaching as a development and retention tool - and formed a peer advisory organization focused on developing rainmaker competence in professionals. He continues to lead a series of such groups under the brand, The Rainmaker Councilsm.

Prior to Egon Zehnder, Andrew helped to form, netWorth Partners, a Private Equity investment firm now wholly owned by Mellon Ventures; as a venture partner with the fund, he served as CEO of one of its portfolio companies, SideTalk. Previously, he was a founding member of BellSouth's Internet service provider, BellSouth.org where he served as VP, Product Marketing and led the initial marketing launch of BellSouth's DSL service. Dietz also has served as a marketer of advertising and market research services for leading national publishers such as Ziff-Davis, Cahners Publishing and American Consumer Index.

Andrew graduated from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in marketing. He received his Masters in Business Administration with honors from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business including a particular focus on services marketing. He serves on several non-profit boards (for instance, The Atlanta College of Art, Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia and the Anti-Defamation League) and is a frequent speaker and contributing writer on marketing and management issues for local and national business publications. He is also the founder of Ellis Lane Press - a narrative non-fiction and business book publishing company. His own narrative non-fiction book, The Last Folk Hero: a true story of race and art, power and profit, is available in bookstores. It was selected by Publisher’s Weekly as one of their predicted "sleeper hits" of the spring book season.

Cynthia Frisina Gray

Cynthia is Managing Partner, President/CEO of eMediagroup.net and
Co-Founder of RFTS, Inc. (Reaching For The Stars. A Foundation Of Hope For Children With Cerebral Palsy)

With 20 years of interactive and traditional marketing experience spanning several major industries, Cynthia has built an impressive track record of generating superior marketing results for clients across domestic and international markets, startup and global brands, online and traditional media as CEO of her own marketing company, eMediagroup.net, Inc (www.emediagroup.net).

Prior to founding eMediagroup in 2000, Cynthia most recently served as Vice President of Marketing and an officer of Cox Interactive Media, the interactive arm of Cox Enterprises, one of the leading media companies in the world. Cynthia also served as Director of Advertising for BellSouth Telecommunications managing consumer marketing and advertising strategy and execution. Before moving to Atlanta, Cynthia was Director of Marketing for Hyatt Hotels Worldwide responsible for strategic marketing and advertising for 150 domestic hotel and resort properties. Cynthia began her marketing career on the advertising agency side For Leo Burnett and Foote, Cone & Belding in Chicago, where she was instrumental in the effective allocation of millions of marketing dollars for blue chip brands including United Airlines, McDonalds, Kraft General Foods and Pillsbury.

Cynthia also is an effective national advocate for children with disabilities launching a successful non-profit research foundation, "Reaching For The Stars. A Foundation Of Hope For Children with Cerebral Palsy" (www.reachingforthestars.org) in 2004. She serves as a member of the External Partners Group For The National Center of Birth Defects and Disabilities for the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and is a recipient of many awards for her volunteer service including President Bush's prestigious "President's Volunteer Service Award".

Cynthia graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Illinois and holds Masters degrees from Northwestern University.

Keith L. Herndon

Keith is currently president of Internet Decisions, a firm specializing in Internet strategy and project management and is an executive with 20 years of demonstrated credentials in business development, strategic planning, operations, and technology management.

Prior to launching the firm, Keith was Vice President and General Manager of One Source Pro, where he led the private-label e-commerce relationship with client Office Depot. Keith was also Vice President of Planning and Product Development at Cox Interactive Media where he managed the business development and technology groups. He managed several strategic relationships with companies such as Yahoo Broadcast and MP3.com. He led technical due diligence efforts on many Cox new media investments and served on the board of directors of Enkia Corp., a recipient of a Cox investment.

Later, Keith was President and Chief Operating Officer of the Red Hot Technology Accelerator, a business incubator and consulting practice. He was also Director of Operations for Cox Radio Interactive, where he managed strategic technology. Keith's early career was in journalism as a reporter and editor at The Atlanta Journal and Constitution.

Keith has been a featured speaker at numerous industry events including an IFRA Technology Conference, a Bank One E-commerce Conference, and a Technology in Entertainment Forum.

He holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Georgia and a master's degree from the University of Oklahoma. Keith is a member of the Association of Internet Researchers and the Technology Association of Georgia.
